Yes! I know it’s late. Yes! I know New Year’s Day is almost over, but I’m writing for a reason!
This past year has been long and tiring. I’m sure most people would agree it has also been filled with many, many ups and downs. I learned, after spending 10+ years working towards a career, my heart was no longer it. Though this was a difficult decision, so many mixed feelings, I feel so much lighter after following through with my choice. Now, the hard work REALLY begins. Anyone ever been through a career change? Then you will understand the fears and frustrations with giving your resume an overhaul and countlessly sending it out, to no avail. Yet, thou shalt prevail! I never give up.
With that being said, this year I plan on starting the year out right with this blog and challenging myself to write a post each day for 365 days. WHAT?? I know! I know what you’re thinking. “You’ve already got so much going on at home!” You’re probably right…yea, you’re right. If there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout the years, I work best under pressure and have many tasks at hand. I’ll be honest, I haven’t done one ounce of planning towards this goal, yet I already have some ideas for the week. I did plan on sharing my lamb rack recipe I wanted to make for New Year’s Eve, but things don’t always go as planned! No, sir! So you’ll most likely see this post come Wednesday!
I am seriously looking forward to sharing how I plan on accomplishing this year’s plan. What motivates me? I have been trying to get a solid blog going for years! I just love reading other blogs and find them very useful! I have so much to offer, being proficient in writing, knitting, crochet, card making, and many other crafts I can’t even think of right now. This year, I plan on bringing you on my journey of finding a job that works with my interests and my adventures of learning new crafts (sewing and pottery, just to name a couple). If there is one thing I hope this blog brings is community. I truly believe a community makes life worth living.
Now, I am SUPER psyched for this new year and making new friends. Let’s go 2018, be kind.
Happy New Year!
