Any who, good day! Don’t you just dread Sunday’s? It’s the last day before the whole week starts right over again.
I don’t want to take too much of the precious time you may have today, so I’ll make this quick.
Growing up, the yummiest thing we ate from the sea were frozen fish sticks. Looking back, I have to ask, is that even real fish?! I didn’t start eating real fish until in my mid-20s, at least. Tilapia was about the only fish I would eat. Though, since then my pallet has enjoyed many a types of fish, even sushi (which I don’t even know how I went half my life without sushi, btw!).
For Christmas, we were gifted an air fryer. Do you have one in your kitchen or have used one? They are amazing!

And I’ll own it… for 40-60 minutes I attempted to cook fries in the air fryer, but they kept coming out under done! I finally go to put more oil spray on the pan, when I see… cardboard under the strainer! 😩 Thank goodness I found it in time to make the fish. And that’s what brings me to this simple easy recipe. (OK, the post is not as short as I thought it would be.
What you’ll need:
- 4 Tilapia filets
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Garlic powder
- Lemon juice
- Pepper, pink salt
- Onion Powder
- Chili powder
Rinse and pat Tilapia dry. Season the Tilapia with dashes of pepper, pink salt, thyme, parsley, and chili powder. Melt butter, add a tsp of onion powder and a tsp or two of lemon juice. Brush the melted butter mixture onto both sides of the fish.
Place fish in the air fryer, set to the fish presetting. I had a rack to separate the fish fillets so they didn’t stick together. They will bake for 20 minutes.
It was amazing! I cannot wait to create more yummy meals!!
